June 2023 Santos Fernandez Featured Exhibition
The rek Gallery is pleased to announce our June 2023 Featured Exhibition will showcase the works of Spanish artist Santos Fernandez. The gallery currently holds the only permanent collection in the world of Santos Fernandez’ artworks. The exhibition can be seen June 1-30 in the rek Gallery’s Featured Gallery.
Not Dead Yet
As many may know, we announced the impending closure of the rek Gallery, scheduled at the end of March. Since that time, however, we have done some restructuring, reformulating, reimagining and re-dreaming. In doing so, we have come up with a model of running an art gallery which, we hope, will allow us to continue forward. If you are interested, please read on.
Change of Plans
Okay, we screwed up.
In December, when we were planning out our 2023 season of Featured Exhibitions, we thought it would be great to showcase young artist’s work so we planned an “Artists 18 and Younger” Exhibition for April. We thought the exhibit would be perfect for coordinating with the end of the school year.

Crash! Stories From The rek – “When Love Walks In”
On Saturday, February, 11 at 8PM the rek Gallery kicks off its new series “Crash! Stories From The rek” with an evening of love stories. “When Love Walks In” chronicles love at first sight. Beginnings
“Beginnings” is the first of our new monthly Featured Exhibits and shows works new to the gallery from artists who are also new to the gallery. Each artist brings extremely rich and varied backgrounds, styles and mediums to this exhibit for the perfect welcome of the artistic new year.
New Hours in 2023
Beginning in 2023, the rek Gallery will be under new operating hours. Those hours are Tuesday – Saturday 12 – 7PM.
