“Beginnings” is the first of our new monthly Featured Exhibits and shows works new to the gallery from artists who are also new to the gallery. Each artist brings extremely rich and varied backgrounds, styles and mediums to this exhibit for the perfect welcome of the artistic new year.
New Hours in 2023
Beginning in 2023, the rek Gallery will be under new operating hours. Those hours are Tuesday – Saturday 12 – 7PM.

Our July/August Featured Exhibition kicks off July 1 with “Women Abstract Expressionists,” an exploration of contemporary Southern abstract expressionism. This group show features a diverse group of women as they manifest their vision through the freedom, dynamism and reverie of this thoroughly modern art movement. The exhibit is designed to uplift the artistic trailblazers too often overlooked in the arts.

The rek Gallery announces the opening of its May/June Featured Exhibit, “Sketchy Truth,” a collection of cartoon works by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution editorial cartoonist Mike Luckovich.

Mike Luckovich has been working for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution since 1989 as an editorial cartoonist. He is the 2005 Reuben winner, the top award for the year’s cartoonist by the National Cartoonists Society, and the winner of two Pulitzer Prizes.
