Celeste Rodriguez is an artist originating from St. Simons, Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art concentration from Georgia College and State University.
She mainly works with oil paints, but often plays with acrylic, gouache, and drawing. Her style is a mixture of expressional and surrealistic styles revolving around feminism, mental health, and her culture as a 1st Gen. Mexican American. She especially focuses on the human form while heavily using symbolism as a tool for storytelling.
While her work is autobiographical, many tend to relate to her work as well. Celeste strives to represent her people who live in this in between world of cultures by depicting her own personal truths. Her work is feminine, bold, and speaks to the modern world while still keeping traditional roots in mind.
