Part of the Gothic Spring Series, this original abstract work explores tension, release, and emotional residue through layered mark-making and restrained color. Each piece in the series is created using the same materials and scale, allowing subtle variations in gesture, density, and rhythm to define the individual works.

The surfaces balance abrasion and softness—scraped acrylic, drawn graphite, and powdered pastel—resulting in a tactile, atmospheric composition. While the titles suggest emotional states, the imagery remains intentionally open, inviting personal interpretation rather than literal narrative.

This piece is unframed and ships flat. It will fit easily into a standard frame or may be float-mounted for a more contemporary presentation.
